CQA
Critical Quality Attribute
A CQA is a quality attribute that must remain within an appropriate range or state for intended product quality.
In context
It concerns properties that products must maintain. Criticality is judged from product understanding and evidence.
Example
If protein aggregation is a CQA in a hypothetical process and temperature is verified to affect it, temperature may be managed as a CPP. Not every measurement is automatically a CPP.
Key distinction
CQA concerns the required product condition; CPP concerns which process conditions to control to achieve it.
