The Evaluation Unit is the unit of the target counted once when matching ground truth and detection results.
In context
Time points, Analysis Windows, events, equipment, and batches differ. Changing the unit also changes the meanings of TP and FP.
Example
Counting each minute of a 10-minute event gives 10 positive time points, while counting by event may give one.
Key distinction
Do not directly compare metrics using different units.
